Those 2 stroke SAAB's were amazing cars - there is still a couple in my area used regularly and in immaculate condition.

I often wonder how long it will be before they are legislated off the road.

I doubt they will be. All the emissions legislation, so far, is forward looking, never retrospective. I'd bet the pollution from 2 stroke garden machine tools far exceeds any from a few old SAABs. I've got 4 x 2 stroke motors, plus one 4 stroke mower. None has any sort of emission control gear!

I am pleased to hear they are not implementing anything retrospectively.

Besides, the emissions from all the cattle/sheep we aren't eating is far higher I would have thought smile
