I am quite religious about greasing the six grease points on my '71 4/4 but recently, after a short period of Morgan inactivity I found the steering to be much heavier than it had been previously. All the usual suspects were ok but I realised that I never gave any maintenance to the two UJ's on the steering column. After several liberal doses of ACF50 to each of the UJ's there has been a significant reduction in the "weight' of the steering and my shoulder joints now remain in their sockets!
I offer this to any owners of steering box cars, for what it is worth.

Did you check the oil level in the steering box as well? A dash of Molyslip in there also works wonders!

Do all Morgan's have steering box method for turning or do later models have a rack and pinion? Is there a point in time where they changed from one to the other.
Apologies if this is a dumb question.

No UJ's on my AH steering shaft... Straight from box to wheel. But I do keep both the box and idler topped up. Needs thick stuff though or it won't stay in!
