Morning all...
I am intrigued to know how many beeps my 100 years +4 will have.
My defender 2014 is perfect... it has 1 beep, when you are low on fuel... makes sense probably foolish to go without.
I was reading the book "Making a Morgan" which suggests that there is a "safety belt buzzer system"... I am slightly horrified...
Put it this way... I despise beeping from inanimate objects.
If there is a beep I want it to be optional.
Will my car beep... and if so can I turn it off...

Ýes, it beeps if the screen detects rain, and you have the hood down. Also if you try to get in with the doors closed. And if the car has not been in MCC car park for 6 months. Also it beeps if you've been driving round carrying a spare wheel, and haven't had a puncture. It beeps if you've driven more that 2,500 miles without changing the radiator

Mine is totally beep free on every level

Which is OK apart from accidentally leaving the side lights on parked up
I would have quite liked a beep for that on the one occasion when I completely drained the battery and would have been completely stuck if it hadn’t been for a friend who we were with who drove me to a shop to get some jump leads

Mine ding dongs if I haven't fastened seat belts and beeps if I haven't stopped for a pee every 100 miles. The latter is probably age related though oldgit

My Plus 8 doesn't beep, but just shows a big red warning light if I do not wear my seat belt. It is unconcerned about the passengers....
It also beeps, very softly, if the indicators have been left on too long, in its opinion.
It buzzes if I turn the ignition off with the headlights on.

Compared with the German cars it is restrained, in a very English way.

do we think the factory is amenable to requests for a beep free car?

When two up, I sometimes get beeps from the vicinity of the passenger seat when cornering too hard, applying too much pressure to the brake pedal or at the commencement of spirited driving. Uncanny!

Don't worry, the beeps are drowned out by the squeaks
