Four-seaters are slightly easier to get out of. The front seats are higher than in two-seaters and the rear seats are even higher Four-seaters are even useful for shopping. Harald I didn’t know that Harald, are you sure the front seats are higher than 2 seaters? Yes, I think so. Looking at the brochure, the four-seater seems to have a higher body with the seats adjusted accordingly.

Are there any aids that will help someone who has two replacement hips with access and egress from the car?
Caroline had both hips replaced before we got the first Mog, a 2009 Roadster and the second, the 2014 Plus 8. She had no problem getting into the Roadster, but found the clutch too heavy, which is why we changed to the Auto Plus 8. As has been said, make sure you get a "Long Door" car and fitting Librands Door checks is essential, they hold the door open fully whilst the co-pilot exits elegantly. Morgan seats are supportive and comfortable.

Go take her out in an Audi RS6 with elastic band tyres on oversized rims hard shocks first and then the Mog.
15" wheels will cushion the ride as the sidewalls are larger

A huge plus to selling the Mog to your other half is the social scene. It worked for us. I went and bought the first Mog in the face of some lack of enthusiasm . 1993 4/4. Great little car. A few short runs and was changing her mind. I went alone to the first couple of noggins as she was working, but took a photo as replacement and proof she existed! Once we got involved in the club it got much better. Great atmosphere and runs/weekends. The dogs would come with us too. Enjoy the attention you get (Japanese tourists especially!) and people snapping you as you drive past. Wave back to everyone. Enjoy the watchers smiles and comments. So, think about the undoubted positives to come and plan your drives. Avoid rain in the early drives unless your car has no leaks. It is a nice snug place with the hood up though.mention the need for shopping for new clothes to wear too. Warm and windproof with style.....

I've given my dream car 5yrs of cherished ownership I've loved every minute but due to bad back ( injured in motorcycle accidents ) Duff knee (age related ) I've had to give in and put my dream car up for sale. Try before you buy it's expensive if it's not for you 4 seater does have better seating and more space. I've sent you a PM Alas I only did 164 miles last year between mot's I've surrendered to the age problem gone modern ( 18yrs old German sports) It's just not the same nice , comfortable, better in many ways but it's not a morgan my morgan is in the sales section

Don't understand the swivel seat. Anybody got a photo. No, neither did I. Unless we're referring to an adjustable seat back?

A relative of ours used to have a removable turntable cushion arrangement to facilitate this kind of movement. It swivelled easily allowing her access. swivel

Alan, You quite rightly do not mention your budget, however that will decide what age / model you can afford. Do some homework on the web regarding prices, new and old, if you haven't already.
If you're buying a new or fairly new one then hire a new one from a dealer. If you have a limited budget, as I did, then you should hire a classic Morgan - there are plenty of classic hire companies around. I hired a classic 4/4 and realised it wasn't responsive enough for me and so then looked for a +4, as I couldn't afford a +8.
My wife has had several major operations/fusions on her left foot and cannot now swivel on it. She has only once been in my Morgan but couldn't get out without major agony so she hasn't been in it since. So don't be surprised if your wife can't get in/out.
It didn't stop me buying the Morgan though....you have to scratch that itch. Good luck. Geoff

I am always at the Passenger Door to help My "Significant Other" into and out of the Passenger Seat. Frankly this is a courtesy that most Men adhere to but in this case it is a must. My "Significant Other" is now 80 years old, but in great physical shape. She also has and drives Her own '58 +4-4Str. So She knows the drill. However; I still insure I am at the Passenger Door to help Her in and out.
The other suggestion I have is not to pass other cars unnecessarily at first. Go 5 Miles under the speed limit and let the cars pass You. Try to stay on roads with few trucks. Nothing is more scary for a newbie than to be looking straight at the hub of a truck wheel at speed.
