Richard , that takes me back to the late 1950's dad came from a big family ( no TV in his parents days ) . One of his brothers moved to Kent . My uncle George was a bike lover but a tight ass . He purchased a CORGI . they dropped them out of planes to the lads on the ground during the war . He was 6ft got up very early one m/ing and set off from County Durham to Kent it was the old A1 just a double track road. It took him over 10 hours , by the time he reached his brothers he was frozen and stiff as a crutch . Uncle Jimmy took the Pee out of him he stayed a week. It must have took him that long to thaw out. On his return he broke down outside London and a wagon pulled over by was it his lucky day the chap was heading to a crisp factory 5 mins away from where my uncle lived . Oh by the way he used the train after that . Dads family all jokers when they got together .

I assume the fuel tank is pressurised?
The carb is higher than the tank.

The brakes look a bit meagre.

You must be right on the fuel system.

It does say in the article in the magazine that a lot of people supplement the braking system for road use.

One heck of a family also . Uncle George liked the lady's he came out of his local pub one evening and saw a man hitting his woman . He grabbed hold of him and told him " you dont hit women" . The woman jumped on him and started to hit him . My uncle George pulled her off and said to her man " here lad do what the hell you want to with her " as he walked off . irked

At £4750 I think I would prefer something sturdier but I am sure the WWII enthusiasts will love it.

I agree with you - in the Motorpunk article they put Honda's newish version of the monkey bike next to it as a price comparison.

My other half is a bit miffed today because I've parked my Morgan in the garage so he can't get to his 1948 Brockhouse Corgi! Shame... wink
