I heard a negative comment about Dave W's book. Quote from Amazon. "2.0 out of 5 Stars Doesn't do what it says on the cover 13 June 2018 Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase Useful for Morgan owners of the period covered but hardly a definitive guide as to what to buy and how to maintain it." Well, that's not so bad, though I am not sure what the reviewer was expecting. A workshop manual, perhaps.

Dave W's book is interesting, but it is not a workshop manual.
Morgan Four owners workshop manual 1936-1981 by Brooklands books is not very accurate for new Morgan and needs to be updated.
The same for Gomog which is a reference but needs also to be updated to match with new models > 2000.
Does a new workshop manual exist and does Morgan Company make it for its dealers?

No, and that's what we're trying to build with Morganatica - as we find out information we can capture it so that it can be shared and extended with contributions by everyone. GoMog, although very useful, suffers from only being able to be updated by Lorne Goldman, and he doesn't spend much time on it any more. Morganatica, by contrast, works on the same principle as Wikipedia. Anyone can become a contributor, and the content is policed for accuracy and relevance by the whole community.

I think Lorne spends more time than one thinks on "GOMOG". For example Lorne added "Roadster" to "GOMOG" recently. He seems to be available to answer questions. "MOG GROUP" on the "MORGANATICA" site is a good place to ask questions about "how to's" on the Older Morgans. I was going to be a "Contributor" for 'MORGANATICA" and never did come thru with this. I do write quite a lot of stuff for the Morgan Clubs I belong to but I do not take the time to present it with pictures etc. I must admit some of My ideas and writings are a bit zany at times. But it is how I amuse Myself.

My publisher wasn't especially interested in a workshop manual type of thing, the potential sales are too limited.
The other problem is that with so many engine and gearbox options, even since 1997 long doors.........where would you start in compiling a trustworthy comprehensive manual????
It would take years, and the internet can't be trusted!!!! I quickly found that out............
Morganatica is the only sensible way to compile information across all models, and realistically, only those who do their own work have any chance of making a decent stab at it........

Like anything you can't please everybody!
Theres a comment on Amazon from a guy called greybeard (I think) who clearly doesnt like it! I wouldn't feel bad about it, he gave you twice as many stars as he did Dan Brown.
