We have decided to do the crossing via the Hull - Zeebrugge ferry route, much more "Up North" friendly. We will meet up with you all at Trier. If anyone else is considering this route I have a voucher code for 15% discount, use before 18th December.

Liking the sound of Hull to Zeebrugge - can you share the code. We would likely meet the group in Dinant as Trier could be a bit of a stretch .

Having met with Planenut at our local pub to chat through the Jungfrau Treffen route we decided to take the plunge, and join the adventure. All hotels are booked and will be crossing from Hull and taking the leisurely route back. Thanks to planenut for the help and advice.

Congratulations on your first post after a long time looking. My travel agency fee is very reasonable. I am sure you will both enjoy the trip. All we have to do is keep praying for for the next 9 months for some reasonable weather.

Welcome Nigel & June, great to have you along for the ride I'm sure Ian's pointed you at the MTWC as well and between that and TalkMorgan there are plenty of events to get involved with if you can. I look forward to meeting you next year.

Merry Christmas all.
So, the trip next year will be our first adventure in the three wheeler over and above a trip to Malvern from North Yorkshire earlier this year. In addition it is our first road trip in something other than a highly reliable German estate car .. So my first of many questions as a newbie - do any of you have a stock list of stuff I need to start collecting for the trip now , tools, spare parts, sat nav etc etc - any advice welcome
Many thanks
Keith

Most of us carry some spares and usually between us we have enough bits and bobs to cover most road side eventualities. My list of what I carry is probably excessive but you can pick and choose some of the key items:
Cam belt and fitting dowels, tyre pressure gauge and pump, throttle cable, tyre plugs for rear, inner tubes for front plus tyre levers, assorted spanners, screwdrivers, metric and imperial allen keys, socket set, jack, regulator, exhaust clamp, fuel pipe clamps, relays, spark plugs, indicator module, large spanners for rear wheel adjustment, spare bulbs, fuel pump, jumps start pack, cable ties, metal tie wraps, exhaust bobbins, spare bolts for stage 1 silencers, gaffer tape, engine oil.
Most of that fits in a tray I have made located under the bonnet.
Satnav is personal choice some of us use Garmin others TomTom you just need one which you can load pre planned routes onto.
