Yes, the three ply wipers - they don't wipe, they just smear it about a bit. Avoid driving the Aero in the rain like a Turkish public bog, but when you get caught short you have to wipe. Any tips?

Get the screen really really clean and then apply a few coats of Rain-X. Water will then tend to bead and run off. It works pretty well until you put the wipers on, then it tends to get wiped away.

Rain X also do an anti fog product for the inside of the screen, it can also be used on inside of a motorcycle helmets visor.

Have they re-introduced anti-fog?
I remember trying to buy some for a visor a looooong time ago only to be told it was no longer available.

If you can find it "Ducks Back" (as it was called) is a professional more permanent version of Rain X.
I use it (got some left over from an old job) and it lasts months.
Either that or use car polish/wax/detailer on your windscreen, lasts as long as rain-x..

I have always found Izal to be excellent as an alternative to fine emery paper.
