Remote kit for me.
I can still slide underneath for some tinkering but the remote kit makes life easy and I’m all for that.

Whatever system you use, it's important to regularly inspect underneath for the reasons listed above.

I wouldn't entertain a remote kit get under there and check it all over and tighten up as necessary, greasing the damper blades as well it's all part of the getting involved ownership. As Graham says it does take a little longer these days to get up after though oldgit

Don't have it myself but I see the kit isn't very expensive so why not? Just a thought - if its a new car it won't have damper-blades to worry about either

The remote kit makes it so easy, especially when touring. Not many people will lay on their backs in a dusty car-park away from home to grease the front suspension, but with remote greasing it's a simple, clean 5 minute job - and it must be better for both the longevity of the suspension and effort required to drive.

Managed without remote greasing since 2003. Fitted a kit this year after a frustrating 1/2 hour in an underground car park in Austria. It doesn’t eliminate the need to get underneath when at home. It just makes keeping on top of things when touring a whole load easier.

...is it not also desirable to wipe off the old grease that gets pushed out?...so you need to get under the car to do that either way.

Wiping above your head is easier than manipulating a grease gun above your head, into a dark inaccessible place, especially if you are touring abroad as Paul says

Oakmere fitted mine at new and they work a treat.

Yes, you still need to get under to wipe off the excess but as SFG says this is an easy and quick enough task.
