Idly sat early this afternoon flicking through TV channels* and came across Quest, just in time to see them put a new chassis on a +4. Enjoyed the program, but wondered if the car /owner is on the site (reg no was J40 MOG). I think the car looked cracking when they’d finished it, pretty much the same as the one I’m waiting delivery on in terms of colour/upholstery etc so maybe that’s why I got unnecessarily excited by the program  *I’d hate you good people to think this is how I normally waste my life, normally I’m a radio guy but TBH I’m so fed up with all the Christmas songs that I put TV on instead

If its the one that was posted on here then there is a story behind this ie not quite what comes out in the show !

Intrigued. Any more info please? I hope the programme is realistic, I'm expecting to be able fit a new chassis in an hour by following the steps on the programme.

Stop being a bunch of grumpy old mog only prrogram followers, hours of labour are added on later series. I enjoy their programs taken as a bit of entertainment (amongst other car programs) , and to be fair Ed China and Ant Anstell have a lot more mechanical know how than a lot of those who'd deride them on TM.

There is a thread from when the programme was first shown here: Morgan +4 on Wheeler Dealers... and a later one here: Morgan on TV.I don't think the owner has ever identified themselves on Talk Morgan, unfortunately. ~iw

Thanks, I’ll follow that thread! Some interesting comments about it having to be sorted out afterwards - I’ve often wondered how well the wheeler dealer cars and Car SOS cars fare in the longer term - not very seems to be the underlying comments!

Neither program does a full nut and bolt restoration so there always are issues that the "rivet counters" ( or in the case of TM the louvre counters  ) can pick on. But I am sure that each car is better after their efforts than before.
