Escaping the French?????? Large numbers of relatively well off presumably middle income or above Iranians somehow getting out of Iran , not exactly sure still what the attraction of the UK is compared to the EU ?

Maybe it is because of the English language which has become the lungua franca?
Not too many refrugees have Serbian or Croatian language skills. Even Spanish or French are less common than English.
