"Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town!" I am but a humble occasional scribbler and forum poster, not in the 648 and rising rapidly league at all. My blog is really a result of many requests from various places. It will be a bit of fun and, hopefully vaguely informative. I'm a quiet little chap, never known for trumpet-blowing As Trent and others have said, you don't have to read it! Of course, if you do drop by even an obvious expert MogPerson like you might just, possibly, learn something. Loose lips sink ships
If you are doing nothing, how do you know when you are finished?

Looking forward to reading your experiences Colin as I have known your work for more years than I care to remember. In fact I have one of your +8 restorations with Holly Carbs and have not come across another one as yet. Do you have records listing the cars you have restored over the years? If so I would be interested in particular the engine spec of my +8.
Thanks

Thanks Hello JMP, Yes, but I can remember virtually every one of them (over 150 ground ups alone!) Didn't too too many Holley conversions. 2 spring to mind immediately; Ex-Don Jellyman 4-speeder 'Flying Cow-Pat" (in mandatory Jellyman Ford Sun Beige!)also owned by Chas Smith and David Hall. First Rover-boxed 4-speeder I think, may be wrong, ask Hermen Pol! Beige trim, beige hood, beige everything, good old Don and Cecily Another was for Alan Walton, metallic anthracite (er grey!) quick car did well pot-hunting in minor events with a mediocre pilot. (and no, Mr Oliver, I really was not party to AW selling it to that dolly-bird from Hong Kong, honest!) White one for Tim Moss (had a Carter carb first) rebuilt after inversion by three-wheeler owner! Can't remember any others off hand except my 43MOG which once had a 400 double-pumper in it's mild road days. Is yours one of those? If not I'll start digging, give us a clue! ATB Colin

Why, I hear you all ask, has Russell been so conspicuous by his absence when all this Colin Musgrove stuff is sooo up his street?
Well....for the past few weeks I've been trying to tease 43 MOG from its current owner and didn't want to tempt fate by banging my digit on my keyboard!
I feel I can now though as it will be in my possession by the weekend...RESULT!!
Seriously looking forward to the odd sortie south of the border to whip some foreign ass (I can't say English ass as I have too many English friends now and I have to say quietly that I was delighted you won the Ashes...sorry Ruby, I'm sure you've heard it (slam) 100 times before!!).
Colin, you may not have heard of me as, being soooo much younger than you (??), I only started racing Morgans in 05 but wish I had had the honour of crossing swords with you on track....any chance diching the zimmer and doing a Schumacher?
Also, what are we going to do about our avatars? We both can't have 43 MOG...shall I do the correct thing and stick with OSU 424?

Of course I have heard of you, been watching your jousts with Andy in that other Mog at various circuits in the Tundra. Perhaps 43MOG will start winning again now since I don't think it has had a victory since I sold it! I have a nice picture of Andrew taking a weird line through Stavelot and disappearing from the lap charts Great stuff, look forward to meeting you later in the year 43MOG's finest victories were scored by Dron and the great Peter Garland, not me, I just paid for, built and entered the bl**dy thing That said, you can put the correct decals on it, purely for historical accuracy, of course 43MOG on Shell As to avatars, that sounds a good compromise! Very best regards Colin

Hi again Colin. I have a couple of poor quality pics of the +8 that may help. It has acquired the name of "boobs" due to the bulges in the bonnets. The engine pics are poor quality and I can't easilly get to it at present to take better ones. I'll search these out and post them on another reply
