Sorry we have a backlog becaause of the summer break

We have a lot of cars in for service at the moment dont know when we can get round to it.
The body shop is flat out at the moment give us time.
You will have to leave it with us
Whev'e found a few extra things wrong with the car

You never told us that.
All these sentences must be practised if the candidate is succesfull and prior to answering the phone to any Morgan owner, and remember to speak up as many owners are very old.......

Sir John Harvey Jones. 1990 His actual words were "If nothing changes I am sure that everyone here will go on being happy for a while. But if they really do nothing ... and believe me, I pray that they will make some changes ... in my view, this car will disappear". Fortunately, his theory wasn't put to the test because Morgan implemented most of his recommendations before that happened. Both of Sir John's programmes are in this thread: Troubleshooter. You'll find plenty more quotes there. My favourite is to the head salesman: "You're not a Sales Manager at all, you're a car rationer". ~iw

I’ll remember that when I’m out and about. When I hear the rattles and squeaks or hit a pot hole, I’m just being ‘stirred’  A couple of those quotes have a certain degree of irony. My favourite: "We’ve learned a lot in 75 years". Hmmmm.  I had always thought that "First And Last of the Real Sports Cars" was an advertising slogan but it is missing from Taffmog's list. A quick Google shows that it is the title of two different Morgan books but not apparently ever used by the company. ~iw
