Out of interest, is the Speedster screen polycarbonate or acrylic?

I was in the Morgan parts shop a few years ago when the delivery of the Speedster screens came in and got plonked on the bench

You really do need a pair of Browning machine guns on the bonnet, though..

They may already be lurking within the towing eye apertures, Spitfire fashion

I suspect that the cut down screen that you can see over the top of, and therefore does not need or use wipers, would be fine. If that was not the case all the motorcycle and even the M3W screens would be illegal.

My local Hot Rodder MOT man confirms your observations Peter regarding screen usage.

Thanks for all your comments..I have a number of pms to answer regarding materials, measurements etc.

After 170mile jaunt up the Yorkshire coast Design number 2 works as expected.

It is low enough to see over but high enough to divert air rush over my helmet.

Also in rain the air stream keeps the helmet largely clear of droplets..something I had not considered...bonus !!!!

I will make a few more screens to trial soon.

Steve19...this quick fit removable system will only work on 9 or 10 stud windscreen systems..not on the easy up hood system and cast pillar supports...I believe your 2010 Roadster might have this type of arrangement.

Get your tops off for 2019 !!!!!!

Stev19 sadly for later cars such as my Roadster & yours with cast pillars there is no aftermarket easy folding screen kit.

Driving a Mog with aeros is great fun.

Real, it's like a motorcycle.

If you fit a good windscreen, it works like KEVFITZ told.

A well cutted screen in the correct angle links the wind/air over your head but don't let you miss the feeling.

For an example for all HARLEYs you can cut the height to your own taste.
I do it on a DynaGlide with a small "sport screen". It's great and works like KEVFITZ told. I can understand him.

On the other side in a car you sit in, on a bike, you sit on it. It is a difference when you hit the screen in cause of an accident. To be hurt in car is another risk than on a bike.

Enjoy your modification!

Kev, your aero screens are rather passe(need to borrow an acute accent for that last "e").

Below is a shot of an MG J2, the part octagonal shape is easier to see on the passenger aero screen:

So, with all your ingenuity, I think you should be considering Morgan wings shaped aero screens!! grin2
