Just noticed a small oil leak and think it’s one of the 1/2”bolts that joins the front of the block to the rear. Love to post a picture but no idea how to on this forum. I also noticed what looks like a slice from a circular saw along the seam between the block halves... REAL strange. I’d greatly appreciate if somebody can email me (sobikes@verizon.net), letting me send you the pics for inclusion here.

Posting pictures is very straightforward. The TalkMorgan image server is free for all TalkMorgan members to use.

The basic principle is that you upload an image from your computer to the image server, and then paste a link to the image into your posting. it's all explained here:

https://www.tm-img.com/page/ifu

Have a look and give us a shout if you get stuck.

Yeah...it’s Greek to me. It was simple when I first joined. Where’s the Talk Morgan image server?

Let’s see if I git it. Here’s the strange “slice” that looks like it was done with an angle grinder:https://www.tm-img.com/image/YO3oK

Hi Ken,

From the angle of the picture it looks like a piece of the crankcase broke away. Something definitely for the dealer. Is some of the seal extruding? Everything is fixable.

Best of luck with this, Ken.

It actually looks like somebody put an angle grinder in there and I can’t figure out why that would happen. It’s definitely a cut, not broken off.

I don't think the "angle grinder" cut in the crank case is a problem Ken. I have had a look at my engine and it has the same machining mark. It's a polished engine rather than a black one so maybe doesn't show up as well, I never noticed it until you mentioned it. I have no leaks from that area though.

Yeah...I wasn’t clear then. No leak there. The 1/2” bolt forward of thetecwas wet around the bolt. That “slice” just surprised me. You have it too? Strange. Wonder why.

The leak was around the head of that (yellow arrow) bolt.
