I've arranged to look at a Plus 8 Anniversary (35th year) with a view to purchase -(my first Morgan) - and wonder if anybody knows to what numbers production was limited. Any other comments or advice before I view would be most welcome.

At the outset 100 were planned but I've not seen a final production figure.
Advise - buy it and enjoy it lots. Take someone with you to look at it if you are new to Morgan's.
p.s. If it happens to be the one at Williams Henry is a really nice guy to do business with, I bought my new 2009 4/4 Sport from him when they were Bristol based.

I popped into Crazy Horse in Bury St Edmunds today and they had one there. I thought I saw the umber written on the back as 35th of 250.
Could well be wrong though!

One tip - compare it to a slightly earlier +8 circa 2000

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the 35th anniversary model (MY2003/4) and not the current Plus 8 run-out model Many thanks for replies to date.

Yep - Morgan instigated cost control mesasures between 2000 and the 35th run out models. There are a number of variations over quality, application and use of materials/parts.
Just worth checking the Anniversary model your looking at is indeed the limited edition step up in comparison to a run of the mill millennial plus 8.

So all else being equal are you saying that a slightly earlier (<2000) could be a better proposition?

Oops, sorry, I wrongly thought of the 50th anniversary model. Ignore my previous comment then!
