The first solo ride is such a thrill. Mine was ten years ago but I remember it like yesterday.

It's such a positive and enjoyable driving experience that it's hard to see why some people don't get it at all.

Lovely looking car and colour.
Take a look at the following link, I think you will find them very useful.

Agreed! I didn't understand why dealers would press us to include these in the specification. Especially useful when parked on my sloping driveway or on a windy day.

Again I quote and I would like to agree as well with what Esprit is saying! Your nice post is entertaining and full of relevant information at the same time. I had a smile and remembered very well my own first ride with the Morgan. Enjoy your new toy and have many (s)miles.

Hi Thanks for all the positive comments everyone!

Lots of bits to check out as a result of the helpful information people have posted.

One question I do have is regards the hood.

Currently I’ve left it down as that will be the default position.

My question is should the hood be left up or down, or should I put it up but not clipped on if you see what I mean.

It’s a mohair hood if that makes a difference.

I’m still buzzing and chuckling inwardly about yesterday’s trip happy3

Great stuff Wolfie. Lovely car. I recommend heated seats for cold weather driving. They ensure that you don't get out of the car feeling cold

It is better to leave the hood up if you can.

I generally leave the hood up and fastended. The fit is "individually Morgan" and shrinkage when dry may makes it difficult to put back on and keeping it folded indefinitely will dent the rear window. If folded when wet and left for a time mold may be attracted to your attractive new member of your family.

It is more important for fit on an everflex hood but mohair gets crease marks easier

I have had numerous convertibles with mohair hoods.... If I am going to leave the car for more than a couple of days, I always have the hood done up and clipped shut (front and back). It help keep the hood materials at the right amount of stretch. Apart from anything else, it also keeps any debris out too.

Richard W- please excuse my ignorance but what do the Wolf performance rebound spring gaiters actually do for the car/drive? Does it involve full replacement of some element of the suspension or something simply added and is it costly or well worth the investment?
Thanks
