I enjoyed the video of the cars VERY MUCH! Thanks...  At around 4.15 seconds into the video there is a flat black opened wheel boat tail 2-seater that my wife is in love with. Granted there were a LOT of boat tails in the line up, but this one she liked quite a bit. Here's the link to the YouTube video from Nestor's post. 2017 Montlhery Autodrome Rally Do you know, or can someone find out, what kind of car this is, make, year and model if possible? This may be an assumption on my part, but I've seen Austin Seven's with a GB on one side of the rear with the license plate on the other side. I would "assume" this stands for Great Britain on a car shown similar to this one. In the picture it has a F and would I then assume this is a French car? Thanks in advance!

It vaguely resembles an early 30's Austin Seven, but I'm sure it's not. But if you've seen one boat tail, you've seen them all, right? Just kidding, I love these old cars! Here's what I was referring to as a "possible" Austin. But the more I look through other pictures, this is probably not what I'm looking for. This is for sale in the UK. Talk about a winter project...

Google Austin 7 Ulster - a few varieties with and without boat tails , but pretty sure its one of them.
Ulster seems to be a term for a cut down and customized 7, associated with pre and post war amateur motor sport. A few have polished aluminium bodies - very nice.

Looks like I may have a winner in the Name That Car Contest! Maybe it's an early 30's MG? They look very close and they all have the louvers along the bottom frame rail. But the door cut is slightly different. That could just be a different year or maybe an owner modification. So here's the first picture again. Here are the other MG pictures I found. I'm sure that some of the UK guys can set me straight and also steer me to more pictures if possible.    It also looks as though the rear portion, doors and cowl being of a "flat" paint type, that this might be a cloth covering for the body in lieu of sheet metal or aluminium. Any guess on whether it's fabric covered other than the bonnet and radiator shell? I know that these really have nothing to do with a Morgan Three Wheeler, sorry about that. Any help with this would make my wife very happy.

Thanks Max for the information and link. Sorry to bore everyone with an off ball thread like this, but not much going on right now here anyway... This is a VERY interesting car. I do like the looks and it's only 10cwt in weight, whatever that is. Thanks again and I hope everyone gets a bit of fun out of the thread.

Yes, as others have said it is definitely a 1932 MG M type. My certainty is not so much the result of my knowledge of prewar sports cars as my being able to find my copy of the programme from the 2017 event and looking up number 38! Incidentally VinMog has been able to secure some more hotel rooms for this year's event so if anyone would like to join them just go to https://vinmog.fr/en/events/montlhery-2019/Quentin

We are returning this year in the 4/4. IMHO it is a fantastic event. Extremely relaxed and attended by an amazing range of cars and old motorcycles and still wonderfully un-commercialised. One of my undying memories are the two aero engined Edwardian specials, that were taken off their trailers in our hotel car park and driven to the circuit. 10km on the N20 Paris to Orleans road, during the rush hour with flames spitting out of their direct exhausts!
