I have a 2018 Roadster. Is there wiring in place for front fog lights? How can I locate it? Same question about the switch that would be in the dash Thanks Ed

There is a wire in place for the front fog lights coded blue/yellow (U=blue) for the switched positive feed. The wire is tucked out of the way inside front of right hand wheel arch. As can be seen on wiring diagram below the feed is from the BCU as they only work with headlight, and on command from the front fog light switch so this would need to be added to the dash. I believe dash wiring will be in place for this as well.

Possibly not John. The info is from the 2014-on Classics parts manual and my own experience on a 2018 Roadster.
It would be easy to search for the redundant wire inside the offside wheel arch though.

Richard, does the same apply for a 2006 Roadster? John John (Richard hope you don't mind me answering) your harness would be the same as my previous S1, unfortunately not pre-wired for fogs or spots, I took a feed off the high beam to trigger a relay to operate my spots The latest Roadsters are way more complex on wiring and use a BCU (body control unit) to feed power to the ancillaries as Richard describes

Cheers guys. I'll have a look when back from S Africa at the weekend.
I have the Simmonds brackets & keep wondering about fitting some.

John, just checked my old S1 wiring diagram and as suspected there are no fuses or cables marked up as Aux lights
I used the 30amp Aircon feed to the 8 way bulkhead fusebox (as I had no aircon) mounted a relay below & took the 'trigger' wire off high beam, worked well
Andy MOT, may be able to confirm but my MOT chap said if linked to hi-beam, the spot lamps did not need testing for aim, if on a separate switch they did (as the driver could leave them on)

On my 2005 there's a rats nest of wires next to the front wing stay and the blue/yellow ends in a two pin connector.
It's worth inspecting those connections anyway because the wingtop lights, sidelight, headlight (offside) and horn are all there. Later cars also have the speedo sensor wires there.
I've had some dodgy connections there over time. Some are bullet connectors.
