I’m new to the Morgan world with a ‘71 Plus 8 that I would like to get back on the road.

Great Forum that has answered many questions, but I haven’t found any info on battery recommendations. What type and how do you best mount it (by rear axel)?

I had a 1979 +8 till last year. The battery on it was a standard old type mini, it was seven years old when I sold the car , and still going strong. And it was the same fit to the rear battery tray.

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Unfortunately, there was no battery in the car and no place to mount it.

Any pictures would be appreciated.

The battery should be mounted in front of the back axle on a sort of meccano frame work.
