I'll ask the technician at Mercedes;
The Plus 8 and all S4 Aeros have a small heat exchanger that uses the engine water to cool the ATF fluid. It is, on Tarka, mounted under the N/S wing, just above the suspension upper arm.

Update time folks.....

Internal panelling now taking shape.

The dash board is now mounted & looking very neat. Looking forward to having this trimmed in black alcantara

Opinions please...

Looking good. Black alcantara would be good...non reflective.
Will you be putting cooling ducts for the driver in the dash or are there plans for scoops/ducts elsewhere?

I will be adding drivers cooling. I will design it so its mainly intergrated & hidden as much as possible

That's coming together nicely. Black Alcantara probably the best option. smile

That does look good.
BTW - What are the internal panels made of and how do you stop them "drumming" - assuming that this is an issue.

Looking good.
What will the final body colour be, that may have a factor on the choice of alcantara colour for the dash... mustn't clash!!
