I have just acquired a 2003 Plus 8 with the easy up hood in mohair.
The inside is filthy
Any cleaning tips?

I think DW will be the expert on this

Personally I've used Autoglym hood cleaner, it's marketed for the outer fabric, but is safe on the inside too

If you've got the pale cream, nothing seems to get it perfectly clean again as the metal frame just marks it again

I have a pale grey liner on mine and there are tide marks where water has seeped through the seams. I used mild detergent on it once but not 100% successful. I needto reseal the seams again umbrella
Cleaning a small patch also leaves a “clean” area that shows up so doing the whole thing is best.

My Roadster has the creamish hood interior. I use Meguiars exterior soft top cleaner but there's not much to chose between them.
I work on a small area with a nylon nail brush and wipe with a damp cloth. Repeat as long as it takes. I remove the head restraints but it gets steamy and hot ss you work.
To avoid watermarks I dry with a hairdryer but also mist it over with a waterspray.

I plan to put a clear protector film on the frame but so far haven't got round to it. I'm also tempted to recolour the inside black.

The stitching needs regular reproofing otherwise it leaks over the sidescreens. It doesn't drip but forms wet patches and watermarks.

The hood on my Plus 4 so far has shown no sign of wet patches and the black interior won't show watermarks.

I clean it on a sunny day, Auto Glym soft top cleaner, and use a Karcher window cleaner thingy that’s designed to take moisture off windows to finish it off.
Works a treat.
