Are you talking inside or outside .  There's loads of info on the internet, look at Mohair or Twillfast, the other name.
I'm delighted with my offcuts Mohair underpants. Utterly waterproof.

These are the normal linings used with Mohair, its called Dobby The beige one is notorious for marking, but does make a Mog feel brighter inside with the hood up  This is the lining to the hood of my Plus 8  It is the same fabric as used to cover the wooden trim pieces on the hood frame. So, do all the Aero Plus 8 cars have a lined hood, or is this another unique feature on Tarka?

If you look at the liner and where it gets dirty, you will see that it is where in its folded down state the airflow allows the traffic air dirt flow in. Probably why they make the hood cover which will get dirty instead, that a lot of us don't use and leave back at home!

I wonder if the entire top and frame can be removed and the inside cleaned, inverted, in tension? Mine is/ (was) the creamy beige fabric.
But not till the weather's a bit more conducive.
