Stunning colour. I’ve owned a bright yellow car and a yellow bike. Good points - Other cars seem to give them more space when passing. Bad points - In the summer, every insect seems to commit suicide by flying into them.

Very nice car Peter, especially in Yellow. I was sitting in one this afternoon. Fab interior. Infact the best interior for a hatchback ever I'd say.
I have to choose this month or next a replacement for the BMW X6, currently torn between GLC 63s, E53 saloon or Mustang GT. Heart says GLC63s, head says E53 and my loins say Mustang...

Will be arriving late March.... It is a Mercedes AMG A34, 4 Matic. The standard colours are white, red or AMG Sun Yellow. So it had to be yellow. It replaces the BMW M140. Why replace the M140? I tired of the harsh ride and unsupportive seats. The wheel control and associated ride quality compromised traction: over sprung, under damped resulted in the traction control cutting in on hard acceleration, even on a straight road, unless the road surface was almost perfect and dry. I looked at spending £3700 on the highly regarded Birds Performance pack. this comprises new springs and specially valved dampers plus a Quaife LSD. But a back to back test drive convinced me that although it improved the wheel control substantially it didn't make the ride any nicer. Also, the Management hated the car and refused to use it unless there was no option. The new C35 is the entry model AMG, a new engine from MB, 2.0L and 306 HP. They claim 4.4.7 seconds to 62mph, which is quick enough. More importantly Management likes it, and the monthly cost is not much more than the M140. Thoughts anyone. Sorry much prefer the BMW.... The BMW is rear wheel drive, has a great great engine and compared to BMW the two Merc's I have owned have had real quality concerns. Peter you will miss that engine +1 I have had three BMW 3 series and one Mercedes C Class. I don’t think I could go back to MB. The MB is more of a relaxing drive, the BMW is a drivers car.

Finally come around to an actual colour Peter, about time.
Amazed the German auto allow such extravagances? Weiss, silber oder schwarz nicht gelb!

I’m on my fifth consecutive Merc. so I guess there’s no question about where I stand on the Merc v BMW question. I have had one beemer plus one as a loan car after my Merc was sideswiped by white van man. None of them have been yellow though, aquamarine and cashmere but mostly black or silver. I did have two yellow cars many years ago, my first car was a sunflower yellow Hillman Imp (which I hated) and later a more pastel yellow Mk 1 Cavalier (which I loved).

Peter
Yellow is a great colour and can be seen for miles ahead and picked out in a crowd.
This brings mainly good, but also some negative aspects.
When I was racing I was the only yellow car (Barry Sumner arrived a bit later) and my wife could pick me out in the pack from a high vantage point very easily. When I changed from the +4 to the Indigo Blue +8 she kept missing me as there were several other blue cars at that time.
The negative aspects are the attention it seemed to get from the police etc, yellow stands out so much that they focus on it , on occasions almost to the extent of tunnel vision I felt, so I was being pulled over much more than I thought i deserved.
Great colour though, and hopefully you will enjoy the positives and minimise the negatives.
