I've been asked to provide a bit of advice on how to publish a picture from the TalkMorgan Image Server (tim-img.com) using an iPhone.

The good news is that the process is conceptually the same as doing it from a proper computer, it's just that the bits you have to click on are not immediately obvious to the casual observer.

So What do we have to do?

Step 1: Set up an account on tm-img as per the usul instructions which can be found at https://tm-img.com/page/ifu. Once you are logged in, you will see a screen that looks like this:



Step 2: Click on the bit where it says 'images' and scroll down through your pictures to get to the one you want to post to TalkMorgan:



Step 3: Now double-tap on that image to get the details.



Step 4: See underneath the image where it says 'About'? Tap on that. This allows you to see the'Embed Codes' section. Tap on that.



TaDa! Now you can select 'copy' in the 'Full Image' section where it says 'BBCode'.

As always, if you have a go at this and get stuck, gissa shout and I'll sort you out.

I haven't tried this on a 'Droid, but I would think it would work the same.

Fantastic, detailed and precise guidance. Just what I need. Thank you. However, upon trying to register, no matter what combo of words, names, numbers etc etc I try (and please believe me I have tried multiple ways) it rejects me in the username bit. Everything else I’m sure will work perfectly but please help me, sensei, what on earth should I use for username to allow me to progress to the next level of human achievement????????

User name HeadlessBlue should be fine. The formula permitted for User Names is any alphanumeric combination plus hyphen.
If you are having problems send either myself or Tim a PM with your email address and we can set it up for you with a temporary password which you can change.

Peter you are a good man and I appreciate your kind assistance. I think I am the only person who has this difficulty. Firstly I have tried eg HeadlessBlue, Headless Blue, Headless-Blue, and bloomin’ HeadlessBlue-. No worky. And secondly I cannot work out how to pm no matter what tab, button, combo I press.
So, stress level v high, so I shall return to simple posting replies and accept that me, electrons and the modern world should occupy completely different parts of the space time continuum. Next you’ll be telling me that those big silver shiny birds made of metal with wings aren’t part of the natural world and are forged by the hands of humans.

I should mention that yes, it is the same on Android.

To upload an image from your phone tap on the "hamburger", top left corner, to display the menu. You then select "Upload", then tap on "browse from your device". In Android you then tap on "File", I assume it is the same on iPhone, at that point you have to search for the photo you have taken. In Android it is also possible to take a photo directly into the "Upload".

Don't be afraid to play with it, you can always delete photos you don't really want on the system.

Easiest way to send a PM is to click or tap on my user name "Gambalunga" to the left of my posts. A pop-up menu will appear with one of the choices being "Send a PM". Click on that and it is pretty much the same as making a post on the forum. When you have a PM that someone has sent you you will see a little "letter" next to "My Stuff" in the menu bar above.

I think it has worked- this was one of the demo cars outside the visitor centre when I went down last October
Now , what next???? String theory-I’m sure Graham, Hamwich and Peter will be able to help....😇 thank you all for your patience.
