Very cool. I have a similar mounting system for my rack, wondering why they decided to go with the inner tubes?

Very cool. I have a similar mounting system for my rack, wondering why they decided to go with the inner tubes? Cause its now much more expensive and is branded. I know as my V2 was just delivered. It does look nice....

Ordered and received mine after the fact. No instructions supplied so here's how best to do it:
The mounting brackets are beautifully machined and side-specific. This isn't obvious unless you look closely. Placed on the correct side, they fit perfectly horizontal. - Install the suction cup - Remove the brackets from the rack - Install each bracket on its respective upright (you'll know because it's horizontal) but do not tighten. - Loosen but do not remove all four screws on the rack that attach it to the mounting brackets - Note that the male posts on the rack can now be slid slightly left or right to match up perfectly with the bracket. - Test install the 'male' luggage rack into the 'female' bracket ends - Install the two security pins - Center the loosely assembled rack over the trunk - Tighten all eight hex screws
It's intuitive and precise.

Nice! Only comment is you'd have thought they could come up with a rounded profile toward the front for the brackets...

Nice! Only comment is you'd have thought they could come up with a rounded profile toward the front for the brackets... Especially as that inner roll hoop post is where the back of your skull bangs against when not wearing a helmet.
