Last time I looked they were still Avons.

Got them now on my Roadster and they are much better than my old Yokohamas.
As you might expect!

Got them on 2 of my cars. Very good in the wet. Pretty important on a powerful Mog!

It’s difficult to get an accurate and unbiased review of tyres for sports cars due to the big companies spending fortunes on advertising and promotion
I’ll probably stick with Avon

I used to track my cars (too old now) and going in and out of tires you were very aware of big differences. How much this makes a difference at normal road speeds is a question of degree. In most controlled tests, wet stopping differentials are usual within 3% over tires of a similar calibre. That said, tread depth and tire temp has far more impact on objective driving characteristics than did brand. The only exception was tendency to hydroplane (large differences- some tires you knew did not perform in standing water) and behavior at the limit- some tires just give you that much more information before letting go. I guess if you are pushing your MOG to the limit, it's useful to find the best tire. As I just like to cruise at a reasonable pace, not a biggie so long as they keep their cool when it rains.

All the reviews point to Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s but they are expensive
This is my shortlist
Avon ZV7 Falken ZE914 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Toyo Proxes T1 Sport Yokohama Advan Sport V105 or V103 Continental Premium Contact 6

Stewart, also consider Dunlop Sport Bluresponse in the asked size. Reasonable priced, very good in the wet and the predecessor is/was 911 ceritified by Porsche. Which means this tyre can manage the mechanical forces of a rear mount engine as well. I drive them on a 1973 911 with good success. And someone here on TM has them happily on his Roadster, may be it was JohnV6 but I‘m not sure.
