Stewart, also consider Dunlop Sport Bluresponse in the asked size. Reasonable priced, very good in the wet and the predecessor is/was 911 ceritified by Porsche. Which means this tyre can manage the mechanical forces of a rear mount engine as well. I drive them on a 1973 911 with good success. And someone here on TM has them happily on his Roadster, may be it was JohnV6 but I‘m not sure. Ok I’ll add them to the list I’ve been told from a good source that the Toyo Proxes should come off my list

Depending on style and distances. Also worth looking at:

Just ordered the Avons
I couldn’t be bothered trying to work out all the different tyres and performance figures and reviews so went with the default

Just some feedback from my experience. Yoko 103 were upgraded to become 105. So if you have 105 in the same size considered them better by some margin. Better wet and braking. I had the 103 on the CL600 at one point and they were okay generally but the MicPSS that replaced them were a lot smoother, better steering feel and deploying power.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Yes a good tyre and might have been a better choice as might the Continental Contact 6’s as they score highly in just about every test but I’ve come to conclusion that the differences are pretty marginal and that having new rubber will be the biggest difference

Really interested to know how you get on with them as I will be looking for new tyres this year. Seem like good value too.

Yes will report back I currently have the ZV3’s on and look in perfect condition but rather embarrassed to just realise in the last week they are 10 years and 3 months old with only just over 11,000 miles on the clock so need swapping immediately (I’ve only had the car 14 months) Avon tyres seem to have come down in price quite drastically over the last couple of years because I guess they are no longer made in the UK

Actually I’ve just done a bit of research and apparently Avon tyres are still made in the UK
Avon are owned by Cooper Tires in the USA
I’m going to do a bit more digging
