These are my favourite biking photos - me and my mate Alf - there's about 30 years between them smile

30 years ago we were just dossing around - I'm now a school teacher and he flies the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. How we've grown up smile

Whilst I rode a cobbled together Villiers engined “thing” as a teenager...quite illegally, I didn’t get my licence until I was 47. Started with a Honda CB125 and the CB500. Picked up this little beauty from Italy as a wreck and restored her over a couple of years. Moto Morini 350 Sport. Loved it and like with a few of my bikes, wished I’d kept it.

After the Hondas I entered the BMW world with this....a R80 GS imported from Germany. Loved it to bits and again wished I’d kept it.

I’ve probably had most iterations of the BMW GS oilhead bikes over the years and clocked up some big mileages around Europe. Restored a few old airhead boxers too which I sold on. Nice bikes to work on.

The GSs have just got taller and heavier over the years. I’ve tried other makes, noteably Triumph with a great Sprint 1050 ST....lovely engine...and a couple of Bonnevilles. Always gone back to BMW as I like the Boxer engine. Very nearly gave up biking a couple of years ago as I got tired with big heavy bikes. Then when looking at a Bonneville up in Carlisle and walking out of the dealership in disgust....they were so disinterested...popped into the BMW dealers and took out a couple of Rnine Ts. The Scrambler reminds me of my old R80GS and I love it to bits!

And like a Morgan.....there’s loads of bits you can buy for it 🙄🤣

It looks like a proper mans version of the Ducati Monster - a fine looking animal.

I like all things weird and wonderful thus my misery on three wheels. Don't worry two wheels aren't much better.
Stinky rotary or 2 strokes rule.
My phone won't let me add pictures banghead
