Thanks for the photos. I called down with Belfastgt3 on Sat morning and he very kindly showed me around his beautiful car. I see what you mean about the parcel shelf and bag storage. Your hood arrangement doesn't seem to interfere with anything and it all looks very tidy. Love the colours.

Plus 4 ..Winchester Blue...Long but very exciting day.....Got MR11MOG today at last...  400 mile round trip....lots of rain (some got in !!!!!!  ) 250 miles on the clock and cramp in my bum after 100 miles. I may need to put some padding on me for the long trips. Passenger mirror refused to adjust... so thats the next job after cleaning.."Monty".... I had never driven a MORGAN of any kind before so couldnt wait to jump in ..  My first impressions were very positive..Steering lighter than expected,Engine alot quieter,Nice exhaust note. Roomy cabin and comfortable driving position..The wipers work even at speed!!! never expected that ..Great heater..Nice clutch... Not so good ..Drivers side screen dose not fit properly hence the water ingress..  Gear change very ponderous and sloppy.. Over all very happy ..Looking forward to lots of miles in"Monty". Congratulations, nice one and what a trip home! I guess we all remember that first trip. Great number plate on Monty.
Is the NS mirror the 'square' type? Never could sort mine and swapped to round ones pretty quick with excellent result. Makes a huge difference.
Hope you sort out all the teething probs, there's always something and a lot you learn to live with.

Hook, Re your advice to swap to round mirrors. I have just taken delivery of my new +4 and I also can not get the passenger side mirror to adjust so I can see anything. Are the round ones that much better and are they a straight swop?

Geo and I had problems with his nearside mirror but discovered later that the solution is to move the whole stalk in by one detent...its spring loaded. Tried it out on the 4/4 that I tested this week (and am buying!) and it worked!
I'm sure he won't mind mentioning that he got a wet right leg.....forgot to pull the flap over the top of the sidescreen frame.
Having struggled with just that on my test drive, I guess that there is a knack to it!!

 There are 'techniques' for just about everything to do with Morgan ownership and use! You'll soon discover what works for you. It's all part of the fun and character of the trad cars. Just remember, as Dixon Smith said to me once at Prescott Hill Climb, while I was attempting to exit my car, "There is no elegant way to get out of a Morgan with its hood up". He's right!!  Cheers,

I got mine from John Taylor who does car covers. Not sure if he's still doing them but they were a straight swap.You need to give the arm a 'confident' pull out. Slightly convex, so ideal and with three screws you can get the mirror just right then tighten them up nicely. There are others on the market which I assume are also straight swap.
I bow to those who mastered the square types. I couldn't get them right even by moving the arm, slight improvement but no comparison with round ones which also look better IMHO. Not a huge outlay for peace of mind and relaxed overtaking etc.
