Umm, had to fill up with Tesco Momentum 99 octane fuel. But dare I use it on a regular basis, in a 2011 re-mapped 4/4? Seems to have a quantity of ethanol in it compared to Shell V-power. (note: engine pinks on ordinary un-leaded)

(note: engine pinks on ordinary un-leaded) I believe all high octane fuels have 5% ethanol in them. From the Shell UK website: "....in the UK, Shell regular unleaded and Shell V-Power unleaded are likely to contain some ethanol, but it will not be present at more than 5% (in accordance with current UK specification requirements)"I use Tesco 99 in the Morgan and the AMG. No issues.

From Esso’s website. Esso super unleaded petrol (Synergy Supreme+ Unleaded 97) is ethanol free (except in Devon, Cornwall, the Teesside area and Scotland). We would therefore advise anyone who has concerns about the presence of ethanol in petrol to use Synergy Supreme+ – providing they do not fill up in Devon or Cornwall, the Teesside area or Scotland.

I use Momentum in both the +8 (290BHP) and Merc AMG GLE43 (370BHP). Never had a problem.

Thanks Stephen, I was a bit worried about the ethanol attacking the hoses. (Replaced a breather hose a year ago, that was not even fuel grade rubber.)
