Hi Folks,

I've made my mind, convinced the misses and parked the money aside. Well i thought that would be the hardest thing to do however it seems that designing the car is a lot harder to do.

One side of me wants to follow my creative side and chose a baby blue color for the paint job while my rational side tells me I should stick to a neutral color for an easier resell.

Are 3 wheelers following the same rules as any other cars ? SSE (sensible sells easier)

I know i shouldn't be thinking about reselling just yet but I like to think of everything.

These are bespoke cars that are finished to the needs and whims of each owner. Morgans have always been that way. Knock yourself out and pick that which you love. Have many, many years of fun and enjoyment and let your heirs worry about resale. Love the teal color!

Don't apply sense or logic to a M3W but instead go with your heart and pick the colour you really want

i have own a large volume of cars, like you i have my creative mind, but i always think what i call " SAFE SPECS" , so when i decide to get rid of one i sold it fast and at a correct price.

Discussing recently with a well know Morgan dealer that the majority of the car easy to sell are in traditional combo colors.

I know Morgan is not supposed to be resell but we never know what can life bring to us

Agreed - i'm just wondering if that color is closer to safe than it is to Freddie mercury's eccentric color schemes.

Teal with tan leather is pretty attractive to the eye.

Get what you like/want! You have to adjust your mindset, before you purchase the 3wheeler. Tou’re purchasing an experience. It won’t be practical or terribly reliable, but it can be the most fun you ever had, if you stop trying to rationalize it

There was an early Gulf edition in a similar shade of blue; but while there are safer colour schemes, most M3Ws are distinctively personalised and the ownership's tastes do seem to run to the individual. Resale values do not seem to be influenced by body colour (give or take one or two really outre options), but certain specs may take longer to sell.

I pity the people buying this car to keep and hold for a future resale. They're not driving it and, by doing so, loving it for what it really is, a car made to be driven, occasionally raced and often admired no matter the color.

Buy it in the color that makes you smile and enjoy the experience of driving this mad creature. I bought a British hand-made barely street legal racing machine... What was I thinking!?!?!?

Speaking as someone who earmarked the money and truly entered the market just about 7 months ago, up until that point, I had considered both new and used versions of the car. Sounds like you are going to go new, which I ended up doing too. Here's why I mention it.

I decided to go new not because of color. It seems most MOG owners are sensible, even with non-traditional color choices. Why I went new? Many used, or early examples of the 'new' M3W entirely lack some of the goodies that make it a slightly more sensible proposition. Heated seats, tall windscreen, vintage bonnet catches (dzus fasteners are a pain in the ass, way too fiddly), quilted leather (seems to wear better..), Union Jack cloisonne badges, Brooklands wheel, etc. to name a few.

So, therefore, I would make the case to pick the color combination you like, but do not cheap out and go entirely barebones on options. Get a few sensible upgrades. The lack of options is what drove me to order a new car. I gladly would have purchased a blue/blue car... orange/black... cream/green. etc. if they were simply more well equipped.

Some of the nicest examples of used British motorcars I've seen have odd color schemes. Seems to me that for value to hold over time, color matters little when all else is right.

Just my advice and thought process after having owned roundly 8 British sports cars in my life.
