A quick glance at this investment company in Google shows it as a ten BILLION company, very impressive bank balance. Still sad to lose the family ownership.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

I'm not surprised the Morgan family has sold a controlling interest in MMC, After all, the investment in future engines is going to be colossal. The days when cars could emit large quantities of carbonara thing of the past. Good old carbonara one of my favourite Italian meals, very appropriate I'm sure you meant to say " carbonara thing of the pasta." Good one Peter - I hadn't read the whole thread and hadn't realised there was a little "punnage" going on You read my thoughts

I was told last year that the company made more from factory tours than car sales.
While tours do make a fair amount, it is certainly nowhere near as much as car sales... I was thinking about the factory tours. I might be completely wrong but I expect they are a significant part of the company profit.
I might be wrong but I think I read that the factory tours are run by volunteers who are mainly retired Morgan enthusiasts so that mw the tours are basically all profit.
You are, wrong that is as far as tour guides go. Most are retired, however we are part time paid employees. As for tour earnings, yes they contribute to MMC revenue.

Regarding the contribution to profit that Visitors tours makes to their bottom line, i wonder what impact a "strike" by the volunteers would make? Only asking!! Why would the volunteers go on strike?

Sometimes, I can't believe the amount of total B.S. that appears on this forum.
(Not you Phil, but some of the earlier comments...)

When did tours go up to £24. I seem to remember it was a tenner? I blame the part time paid guides who should be volunteers!!! Nick

At the end of every era starts a new era. Looks like they'll persue the wealthy end of the market. That's fine by me. I'm in the autumn of my era and quite content to admire the new products( I think the new plus 6 looks great) without wishing to own them. I'm quite happy pottering in my old era, magnificent 4/4. I... Nick Well, sliding pillar suspensions requiring a grease gun every 1000 miles a very much first-half-20th-century concept ... I think a £80K 330hp +6 leading to a £60K 240hp +4 then a £40K 180hp +3 (all turbo engines in a decent chassis) makes perfect sense... Couldn’t agree more. I would put my deposit down now for the 240hp Plus 4 in a Plus 6 chassis and set up.
