Adding to Red Leader's points, the steel sprocket is important but so also is clarifying whether the rear hub has been changed from the silver ones on early models to the black ones now used. The new ones offset the rear wheel by about 5mm and allow the belt to be optimally aligned to avoid hitting the tyre or running off the side of the sprocket. Why do we know this? We have an early 2012 version and have lived through all the various modifications/corrections - Phil B's Centa update is next....

I’m away on the 14th Pete . When is the next.? We might have a M3W by then Steve (Harry’s Dad) is going to look at one with most of the mods next week. Let’s hope he gets the green light from her who must be obeyed and he can fit in the car.

We are going to look at a couple next week ,one has the steel sprockets and new rubbers ... don’t know about the hub. Both are 2013 builds

That all sounds very exciting Steve, look forward to seeing the new acquisition if it all goes ahead. Harry is going to be spoilt for choice with two Morgans to choose from.
At the moment there are only 4 breakfast meetings scheduled at the clubhouse, although I believe Barrie is still investigating some possible ‘away days’. The next one after April is 14 July when Morgans are the invited marque. Hope to see you then, if not before at one of the competition meetings.

Thanks for that Steve. Probably not going to make it to the hub - date clashes with Bromyard Speed Festival. Sod’s law! Nothing on for weeks, then everything starts to clash.

I hope this is a sensible question but here goes:- Is a new MW3 a good buy, I don't mean in terms of value for money, more is it now a sorted vehicle that you can drive and enjoy without any of the problems that seem to have haunted the earlier ones?

I am well versed in Morgans having had 3 new Plus 4's so the standard quote of "They all do that Sir" doesn't bother me.

I would say yes. My 2012 has had all of the changes made to it including a chassis that the new ones have built-in. We considered ourselves beta testers. Mine is now a decent drive and I no longer leave the driveway wondering what will break today. It is now a very sell sorted and solid vehicle.
