Please, who has a wiring diagram of the 4/4 Sport (2014)? I want to use one of the existing switches on the dashboard for spotlights. One switch (upper right) is unused and (according to the dealer in Holland) meant for an airco (or ???). I know that the little blackbox in the box under the hood regulates the dashboard functions/switches, but without a wiring diagram I am not able to find how the switches work.

Most of the wiring that you need is already in place, you will just need some bullet connectors to fit them.

Connecting to the spare switch on the dash can be done, but you will need an additional relay. When I did mine I wired to the existing headlight dip/beam switch so that the spotlights go off when on dipped beam.

That spare switch is also connected to the heater fan in that. If you have the spare switch on & then turn on the heater fan, the aircon symbol illuminates.

Unfortunately the latest parts catalogue I have shows only the 2014 on +4 chassis harness as below. You will need to zoom in to trace wires.



It could well be that the 4/4 of that year could be the same with regard to lighting at least.

If it is there is dedicated wiring for spotlights already in place. The relay for these (A7 on above) may be missing though with an empty socket for same if spotlights were not factory spec'd. This is just speculation on my part though.

If needed a suitable diode relay of current rating to comfortably cover the spotlights current draw needs to be plugged in - typically 25 or 30 amp plug-in diode type to match existing ones. The power feed cable from relay to spotlights should already be in the loom and will be taped out of the way, probably near front edge of offside inner wing. Local chassis earth's can be added to complete spotlight circuit.

The spotlight relay is energised by a switch on the dash. Diagram below shows this (position G4) although again as +4.



If your car conforms to above diagrams I wouldn't be surprised if the redundant switch you refer to is actually for the spotlights and already wired to energise relay.

Just noticed posts above confirm my surmise.

ETA: you can buy standard 5 pin diode relay here if needed although you may have local source. Order without bracket if fitting into vacant socket, otherwise with to allow custom mount.

If its the same as my 2012 plus4... and I think it may well be, the spare air con switch is mounted directly to a circuit board that is common to the heated windscreen, rear fog and hazard switch. The heater fan switch also connects to this board. As already stated, the air con switch only works with the heater fan switched on. You will also find a microcontroller and other active components linked to the aircon switch. I am sure you could rejig it to work but you will be looking at hacking into the circuit board. I have posted some pics on here when I modded mine following fan problems. I do gave a spare board if you need more pics...

If Nagrom''s car does have a redundant aircon switch this later wiring diagram may be more relevant. It also shows wiring colours once you get around the colour abbreviations.



The aircon switch has a four way connector C99. Checking the connetions on the switch should allow you to find an on/off pair that could switch a spotlight relay and in turn the spotlamps themselves, without having to tamper with switch wiring further down the line. Taking the relay coil power (via the switch) from the main beam feed would limit spotlight use to when main beam is selected only. You could possibly "T" into the main beam warning light cable for this.
