Hi Everybody, I'm after the part number of a fan belt for a +8 3.9EFI, 5 speed, April 1987 - Sept 1994. Strictly speaking it's a toothed alternator drive belt 'cause of the electric fan! It's not a Morgan specific part although I have got both the Factory & M Rutter part numbers (at Factory &M Rutter prices plus postage!) but those numbers would not mean much to my local motor factors. Perhaps you have a spare belt with a manufacturers name and number on it? Thanks.

Mines a 1999 and a grooved serpentine belt (Gates 7PK - 1025) the 6PK squeaks less I'm told by those in the know - yours is definitely a toothed belt is it ? 1025 is the length of the belt. Ribbed belt

Hi Rich, my belt is definately a toothed 'V' belt, not serpentine. The engine is just pre-serpentine. Regards.

There should be ID marks on the belt. They would show length, width plus any other relevant dimensions. Have a look on the flat area, hopefully still visible. Just remembered Rimmer Bros....Rover V8 specialists. If no joy then call them. www.rimmerbros.com

If it helps, the toothed V belt on my '93 plus8 is a Gates 6224MC.

Hi,
I owned a 88 +8 many years ago and the factory fitted on a handful of new cars,Lancia fan belt. They were slightly different in size,both M rutter and A White supplied the wrong size but thankfully FH Douglas now closed kept the letter sent by the factory.

There are no markings on the belt, just wear & tear! If it helps, the toothed V belt on my '93 plus8 is a Gates 6224MC. This seems hopeful Jads, I'll get one off EBAY and compare it to mine, thanks.
