Phillips and Pozidrive are designed to rise out of the screw with excess torque, Japanese JIS shouldn't lift out till a higher torque. If I remember correctly!

A Bible, cuz in a M3W all you can do is pray...

In a more serious thought, the fix-a-flat can, a small 12v air compressor, and a portable jump starter.

The rest is on the AAA card, cell phone, and the kindness of strangers; to which I've always relied...

The bead breaks easily by hand on the front wheels at least. I wouldn't advise picking an argument with anyone who can do that to the rear! scared

Particularly in Seattle area, pray that some nimrod does not flatten you! Did you get your M3W from Liberty Motors? That is where I am having a cost sheet worked up now so I can take a whell arrow full of cash in there😊

I have seen serrated blades on some but was not aware that their country of origin.

I much prefer hex or torx and swap out whenever possible.

Yes. essentially the end is flattened not pointy like a Phillips. And the JIS screw heads also flatten out and American Phillips will not sit properly

Many of us switch out the engine machine screws on old gold wings to Allen/hex. BUT BE CAREFUL you can get easily over-tighten and strip them out

Thanks for the photographic differences. Which one is the standard on the 3 wheeler?

Yes, swapping out to allen head is good if you own and know how to use a torque wrench, both of which are important. I learned that at age 17 when I broke off a head bolt on a flathead ford while changing a head gasket.

Nope, bought my M3W used and have gotten to know Pete a bit since then.

As was said in one of the Indianan Jones movies, "Choose Wisely"...
