Just thought I would share this photo, took it yesterday on the doggie walk. For a couple of weeks now we have had bitter cold winds from the east(Sibiria) and the result you can see in te picture, this doesn't happen wery often here in the south, a bit more and we can soon walk to Germany !

Spent a few weeks in Sweden a good few years ago, would love to go back. I went in March so it was still a bit cold but I have to say it was stunning. I went to Uppsala, Stockholm, Lund, Malmo and was driven around various bits of countryside in an old Volvo estate. I adored it!

I went to Uppsala, Stockholm, Lund, Malmo and was driven around various bits of countryside in an old Volvo estate. I adored it! I was a 'bit' further North- spent six months lecturing at the University of Umea. It was the only time when the 'University Transport' I was given was a mountain bike with studded tyres! Great visit, great place  G

Amazing. Lovely blue sky though! That was my first thought - bundle up warm and enjoy the sun!  I guess we're so desperate to see blue sky that we'll take it at any temperature. Great photo Stennie.

...and having just got back to the UK, I'm thinking it's cold here - that looks phew... P.S. great photo by the way! Can't be that cold the tortoise emerged from hibernation today. Nice picture though looks like something you would have been able to buy from the poster shops many moon ago.

Great picture - brings back many happy memories, I used to work in Helsingborg. The harbour would freeze but the ferries to Helsinor would just keep on going That water looks about the right temperature for chilling the aquavit

Nice picture! Have been to Stockholm first week of February attending a conference. This has been my first time to Sweden. I liked the city, but it was cold too.  I guess I better come back for a second visit in summer.
