Finally spring has arrived. It was real fun to drive to my farmer friend to get some fresh local asparagus.

Yes yes and yes. Huzzaaaaaaaaah Am on such a high! Yesterday we did 181 miles up the A1, along A170, brief stop at the Star Inn at Harome (lovely atmosphere there) then across the North York Moors via Hutton-le-Hole and then across to Rosedale Abbey then on to Gisborough Hall. Today we did 150 miles all the way back home. Our longest trip (well we have only had her 8 days so far) but utterly joyous and top down the whole time. Ruddy brilliant! So many smiles and waves from people both ways. At Rosedale 3 Caterhams passed us all waving with the lead driver shouting “lovely car mate”. At petrol stop on way back man walks over and chats for ages about how lovely (and British) the Morgan was. Am a knackered but very very happy Headless Blue. HB

Like many today I went out today in glorious weather to get a paper and lo and behold 100 miles disappeared! Almost deserted Bath Road from Reading to Silbury Hill near Avebury and then back to Hungerford and across to Wantage and Pangbourne. Fabulous route but marred by terrible road surfaces in parts. Oh well, you can't have everything and it did give the car a good run after an enforced five weeks off the road. Magic!

Had I planned the start of the day I would have taken mine out. While at Newent Fire Station (sorting a lot of our stored kit - not fire service) first an early V-Twin 3 wheeler passed heading north. A while later another early V-twin MTW on a trailer passed heading in the same direction. Then a couple of 4 wheelers, obviously travelling together and finally a red M3W 5-speeder, all heading in the same direction.

Couple of miles with and Monty to Burry Port. Parked at the harbour and a walk along the beach. The new Lifeboat building is coming along nicely. Monty spent a good time in the sea...water is like a magnet to him. Towelled him dry-ish before leaving. Had a read of the Amelia Earhart memorial there. It’s where she landed on her trans Atlantic flight in 1928. We had debated a longer drive but decided places could be busy so opted out.

Coastal run to Eastborne and beachy head yesterday and saw two mogs in quick succession near Godstone on route home.
Zipped over to Brooklands today and saw a lovely Ivory mog in the car park and then passed a red Mog coming the other way at Effingham. Each throwing out a hearty wave as we passed each other :-)
