Ordered my AMG A35 on 8 February.
Delivery date quoted: 23 March
Revised to 30 March
Revised again to 4 April
Now revised yet again to 12 April.
What is the betting that next week they will revise to 19th April?
This isn't the dealer, it is Mercedes Germany.
Delivery dates on the MB system seem to "flexible" at best.

I'm getting fed up. (So is the dealer)

Do I cancel, and just forget it?

I know of someone who waited far longer for a VW! 🙄

Whilst the delay is annoying to be honest it’s not that great. If it’s the car you’ve set your heart on its surely worth waiting for.

Wasn't there a time that when you ordered a new Merc, you were invited to the factory to see it in build, and to pick it up personally, rather like you can with a Morgan? I think that deadlines were probably kept then but maybe that was a long time ago!

Assuming you've not paid in full up front, all you are missing is the opportunity to enjoy a shiny new car. If you plan to keep the thing for three years or so, the delay represents around 2% of your potential ownership. Personally, I'd consider this 'rounding error' until it got to 50 days or so.

Get a discounted service plan out of your dealer for your inconvenience.

Its (another) option on the price list Rob, even more so for the AMG models.

It's a bit of a bottom during winter months, the drive home requires you to have winter tyres fitted to conform to local country regulations if you collect it. So you need to order that option as well!

It is very well done as they have a hotel, transport etc all sorted in that excellent German manner. Visiting AMG has a few bonus if you play your cards well (belt about in the G63)

One of the reasons I ordered when I did was that Mercedes were offering 3 years servicing FOC, on all new cars registered before 31 March. Worth £720.
I have told the Dealership that I expect that to be honoured, either directly or as additional discount.

I don't think it is offered on "lesser Mercedes", possibly only on AMG models.

I think its across the board at the moment Peter, we have just waited 4 months for a VW Caddy (basic). Need a VW Crafter for the end of the year, spoke to the salesman today, putting the order in this week to ensure delivery! Also have a Mercedes GLE (new model) on order since December, told last week now going to be the end of May, factory delays..Fiat similar only good one was Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio but that was because I found one in the right specification sitting in a showroom. Collecting next week 503bhp
