I started the strip-down this morning...….
True to form, some bolts were recalcitrant, needing heat, and I also noticed that the front wheels touch the chassis on full lock for extra authenticity.
I'm pickling some fasteners in vinegar.
Will post pics as it progresses...…...

I bought the moulds and jigs from Peter Brooks and I was in business. Called it the Morgan Model Co. It was quite interesting, they went all round the world. Had to sell the business when we moved house. Sadly the man who bought it never got it together. I don’t have any spare parts, but I can help anyone source them. It was quite ingenious use of the oddest materials. I still have a couple left belonging to my son and daughter, but they are eyeing the big one up now.

I'm going to try to retain as much of it as I can but I'll add some enhancements...….! I might add a tonneau cover behind the seat, some sidelights/indicators and a rear bumper...….

Dave, on the colour issue, if you want to keep it original just take it to a decent auto paint supplier and get it scanned, you can then have a small batch mixed for touch-up work, some will even do rattle cans

The colour is in the gelcoat. Unless it is badly chipped you should be able to polish it with a very mild abrasive. Chips can be filled with matching gelcoat and polished. They were off the shelf pigments, usually following MMC colours.
