It is interesting that we all have the common love of the Morgan shape (which is a polarising shape to most) and yet we have such diversity on second vehicles.

You do have to love the diversity of this world.

Yup I agree on the diversity.

What does amuse me is your assertion that your "enraged man parts" look like a "pumped up Nike Trainer" laugh2 don't really want to think about it hide

I love my X6 and the pumped up look is something I always have liked, as shown even by my admiration of tue newest Belgian eco car laugh

Hmmm.....isn't the X6 the most pointless of cars? And there's me an avid BMW fan too!!

Jays that's knackered any hopes you had of joining the Surrey Posse, all the old members have one (an X6 that is!). coffee

As for Asbo, apparently his honorary membership of the SP has just been revoked due to him joining the Pious ranks!! shocked2

As pointless as a 6 series? a 911? a Murcielago? or dare I say it every Morgan ever made??

From what I've read and forgive me if this doesn't apply to you but many people who don't like the car criticise it for being 'pointless' which they've always then found hard to justify?

Not your cup of tea? Or can't stand the looks? (or even "looks like a pumped up Nike/gentlemans appendage etc" laugh2 ) is more than fine.

Its all about different choice (havent we covered this already??) I'll buy what I like and what does the job for me thank you smile

No Jag, please don't do this. These jacked up coupes are all dogs dinners in the looks department. Why does anyone think that these are a good idea: they are too tall and ugly to be sports cars and too low slung to go off road....

Sorry for the rant.

But I really hate these jacked up 4x4 coupes - I like real 4x4s and even soft-roaders and certainly 4x4 saloons but not these.

Back to the Jag though - nice. Very nice. I think it has got the muscle to go down well in the USA - I just hope they give it euro-handling not usa-rock-and-roll.

Agree with you. As a BMW owner the X6 is IMO an awful bit of design which is neither fish nor fowl. Some German design seems to have gone awry - the Audi/VW/Porsche Cayenne style slab sided 4WDs, the X6 and the Panamera (the Aston 4 door shows how it can be done gracefully). I do like the look of the Jaguar as it is distinctive and despite what looks like fairly high sides, sleek. Sitting in Oz at the moment and I would guess that this design would go down very well here - does anyone know how the Jags are for reliability these days?

Having watched the unveiling of this car at Geneva, all I'll say is that it looks better in the initial photographs.
