I know that many of you all have dogs.

The question is how do you get the larger dogs in and out of the cockpit? Barring a davit how does one get a 100 pound pooch in and out, assuming there are folks that do have big dogs?

I have a 95 pound german shepherd that loves going for rides but when the 3 Wheeler shows up she might be left out.

Suggestions?

You're going to have to train it to jump into the car without using the muffler shield as a step. Clip the nails as they might puncture the soft leather seats from landing. Get dog goggles...

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I had a large lurcher when I had my 3 wheeler , he somehow figured out how to jump in and out avoiding the exhaust right from the start . He was very agile and weighed around 60 lbs so your German shepherd might find it more difficult !
I used to remove the seat base and put a dog bed in there , he really enjoyed it and would jump in at any opportunity .Look forward to hearing how you get on .

My grandfather owned a 3 wheeler in the late 1930's and his dog used to sit on the body of the car, behind my grandparents.Apparently the only time the dog fell off was when my grandfather took a corner at speed.

I have a small step about 16 inches high that I place next to the exhaust and the car and my shepherd uses it to climb in and out.

Why not throw a fire extinguisher blanket over the side and pipe until the dog is in or out?
