Morgan Motors of New England told me that it can be tweaked electronically. They offered to do it numerous times and I shrugged it off as I rarely look at the speedo. The Tachometer is another matter. I always have a hairy eyeball on that. I also use a Garmin GPS and it is far more accurate for speed than anything!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

The speedo is a waste of time, I drive it by how it sounds and feels plus tacho like most people I suppose.

There are some quite cheap GPS digital speedos available online if you do need to keep a close eye on it though.

that is one of those "it depends" answers. On motorcycles USUALLY smaller diameter wheels have wider rims and so run a larger tire. For example, my 78 Goldwing has a 19" front, while our '86 wing has a 16.... however, side by side they are both nearly the same in total outside diameter

MWS Int has a 2.5" x 18" rim that fits the MG NA, NB & ND Magnette.

Available silver only @ £221.82 (£266.18 inc VAT @ 20%)

MWS Int 2.5" x 18" WW Silver

Other colours could possibly be quoted.

What was the reason that Morgan picked the 19” wheels over the much more common 18” wheels? Just to be different, or to get a diameter that would allow for a more stiff (less lateral flex) tire?

Hi John,

I think that in French law, the mudguards are mandatory, but in reality the police are quite tolerant with the MTW because it is an atypical car, moreover the MTW is not classified as an automobile but as a tricycle Like a Can-am or a Piaggio mp3 scooter, the consequence is that there is no technical control or tax pollution.
concerning the reference of the tires, it is written on the sides: Michelin Harley Davidson 120/70ZR19 Scorcher "11"

maybe it was because Avon makes that 19" sidecar tire which has a flat profile versus the rounded profile of a motorcycle front tire. But a size that could fit a radial tire would be much improved (IMHO. There are shops that will re-lace a wheel, and so that is one option. However, lacing a wheel is not in my skill set

So what you are saying is that the wheels need to be relaxed for radial tires? Different spoke pattern?
