The Snake Pass from Glossop to Sheffield was for us in our Plus 4 very near fatal day out. A head on collision put our plus 4 to the test.
My wife and myself walked away with cuts and bruises, but unfortunately the car didnt make it(right off).
The car did everything it was supposed to do. It saved our lives.
I feel I've lost a friend.
It also puts my faith in human nature, the support and kindness from people was amazing.
The main reason for the posting was to make drivers away this is a extremely dangerous road made even worse with carefree motorist and bikers now starting the warmer weather.
WE WERE EXTREMELY LUCKY.

Really sorry to hear of the accident and hope you get over it in good time, such a shock this kind of thing. Similar happened to me in my Sport 5 years ago when it was written off and it takes a while for the dust to settle.

Great shame, these are more than a mode of transport but the main thing is you’re okay.
Look on it as an opportunity, what’s the replacement going to be?

Phil, very sorry to hear of your accident and hope you & your wife make a full recovery

The locals know how dangerous this road is, I think it's still in the top 10 most dangerous UK roads for accident stats

The Police used to (may still) monitor it at weekends by Helicopter due to it's biker reputation, personally I avoid if I can - too busy in good weather and full of weekend hero's in pimped up VW's, sprinkle in some rain & winter fog and it's lethal

So sorry to hear about you accident and you car. But most importantly glad to hear you and your wife walked away from it. Hopefully you will make a speedy recovery from any injuries received.
Take care!

pleased you both are OK. A Morgan, no matter how fond you were of it, can be replaced.

Glad to hear that you both walked away from the accident. You can buy cars, even Morgans. People on the other hand ....

Thanks you all for your concern,
The accident happened on the 6th April.
Unfortunately the driver in the opposing vehicle was from Norway.
With a moments lack of concentration driving on the wrong side of the road.
Luckily both vehicles were not traveling more than 35mph, but on a blind bend giving me little time to brake.
Now the mammoth task of sorting the insurance claim out.
Any tips?
I'm worried I will not receive full valuation Insurance payment to purchase a replacement 2016 Morgan Plus 4.

Pull together as many adverts as you can find for cars of similar age and condition to your car. Unless you have agreed value insurance, the insurance company will go for a trade value from Glass's guide or similar. Thats quick and easy. You have to convince them otherwise.

Time is on your side. The insurance company guy wont want an open file on his desk for too long so as long as you arent silly with stars in your eyes about valuation, string it out.
