I just bought an "old" 4/4 of 1983 but is like a charm ... I find it very beautiful ... however it has Lemmerz metal wheels that I do not like too much ... What I would like to change if I can I have a quick question, did anyone of you have it and change those rims and by what? These wheels have a center distance of 4x130, which limits the possibilities ... Thanks in advance .

Try MWS they would know what you need if you want wires.

My ‘82 4/4 has Rostyle wheels, which I believe are of VW Beetle origin. It would be good to swap them for ones with round holes as on earlier 4/4s as l am not a fan of wire wheels.

. Check the inset of the VW wheels that the tires clear the crosshead at the top.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

The bolt-on Rostyle wheels on the Morgan from the 80’s period come from a rare South African beetle model and are not like “most beeetle wheels” you’ll see. Best alternatives are available off the shelf direct from Minilite or alternatives can be sourced from Image Wheels.
If you would like to fit wire wheels, you’ll need to swap your hubs (at some cost).

Welcome to this forum, I found a post with rostyle wheels on a 4 str, search for post #331766 - 11/01/16 10:56 PM. I think these where the standard wheels in the 80s, I had them on my 1st Morgan too. These should fit your car and I assume they were on yours orriginally. Changing to wire wheels could be costly... Note when you are in the car, you not see the wheels, and you may get used to it. Have fun, Bert

I have a spare set of Rostyles and a set of flat steels to fit if you are interested and a bunch of barely used tyres to suit. Toyo’s 185/55/15 or Yokohama AD08’s
