Lucky you both are OK. Kudos to you for getting your young son to wear the helmet. I was sitting in a construction zone waiting for the traffic to move while driving or Nissan Maxima when I was hit so hard that it bent the car to a point that the doors were jammed and the wheelbase was shorter. It drove me into two other cars, and when I saw the guy (2 kids in a stolen car) I buried both feet on the big brakes in the Maxima and buried my head in the headrest.. I now leave escape routes since that was a classic example of why to do it. I would rather have been in the ditch than have a totaled Maxima. The kids were unhurt and I was still able to walk, although I had just been released from a Veterans Hospital from shoulder wrist surgery. The other cars that I hit were basically ok and driveable and nobody injured.
I would hate to get hit in the Three Wheeler with such force and you are very fortunate that is all. That hap0ened.

A few years ago a bloke ran into the back of my sister who was stationary at a red traffic light in her Twingo. The car was shortened by about 2ft, and she had to be cut out of it by the fire brigade. As soon as she was released, she turned to the bloke who'd rammed her and said (in French) "and when I'm not here, how do you usually stop".
This example of the British stiff upper lip had the gendarmes rolling around with laughter.
I'm now in love with your sister. Nick

Wow ! Terrible news but great news that your both ok - one of the three of you is replaceable and repairable .
Just got my new one 3 weeks ago and feel a little vulnerable at times . Does yours have the high brake light between the role hoops ?
One Aussie to another .

I sometimes take my grandsons out in my M3W when it is having a holiday in England. Extraordinarily, I found a very helpful bunch of assistants at the Halfords in Brighton, Sussex (I am sure that the M3W helped). They tried out all sorts of booster seats and child safety seats, pretty much every one they had in stock. I had already tried the Recaro dual fit seats we use in other cars, which can be either belt or ISOfix located. It was far too bulky for the M3W and did not begin to fit. The only device we found that seemed to fit properly and provided security for 5-8 year olds was the Halfords Basic Booster cushion, with belt location hooks. Now I know this does not provide the sideways head location that you get with the Recaro but it is a lot better than nothing and at least fitted in properly, which the larger seats just did not.
Hope the repairs go better than mine did at the south east of France agent, who took 11 months to wreck the car. It then had to be trucked back to Malvern to be re-manufactured, which to give Morgan due credit, they did free of charge.
Wilson
