Finally saw one! 30 years ago, I lusted after one of these, never had enough money to buy one and they weren’t popular so they disappeared from memory.
Should have silver wheels though.

I thought they were reasonable. I originally looked at them when I had my 3 wheeler, I know a few guys in the States have them fitted to theirs. The mats were the "luxury" option in the 50-60's for Mercedes and other marques. This company https://www.cocomats.com restarted the manufacturing of them in the late 90's. I had to create a template of the existing mats post them off and 2 weeks or so later they arrived. Certainly miles better than the mats the car came with. Apparently cocomats are the only car mats that do not show the dirt, I presume the dust drops through the coconut fibres? Thanks for the link, they look very good I think I'll be going for a set of those.

I had front mats made for my Speedster far more practical than carpet. CoCo Mats customer service is very good.

They look really good but those DHC's have a very narrow footwell by the look of it. A regular shot of one showing the flat screen and suicide doors.

Thanks Rich, I didn’t know Morgan had suicide doors in the past, they’d be handy for me, I often kick the door by mistake as I climb out.

I always knew that there was some good in there somewhere! As a previous owner of a '74 Giulia Super and a later Sud TI I am struggling to find what they have in common with Morgans, and no, I am not going to talk about reliability!

I remember borrowing a colleagues Alfa to drive to a customer many years ago. I am going to say either 155 or 75, bad memory.
On the way home I went to put some petrol in. Could not find the flap release. Looked in all the corners etc. I could not reach him by phone (no mobiles in those days!) to ask. Barry the boss had no idea. Petrol station staff had no idea.
In the end I phoned the AA and they asked the three on call engineers and none knew. So we found a local Alfa dealer and after three people had a go we located it.
It was on the bank of switches up by the roof mirror..seriously! Italian car designers, mad the lot of them.

I used to borrow my mother's one... fun to drive briskly (I'd have been 18-19 ;-) ) , but the front end could lose grip suddenly and "understeer" by taking a hop... perhaps not as well sorted as it could have been.
Will What was in those days? There has been enormous progress... There is a set of corners on the A354 between Blandford and Salisbury that for most of the last 40 years I've used as a reference for the cornering ability of the cars I've owned. The Alfa 33 felt it was at its limit at 50, the Mk2 Caviller was clearly uncomfortable at the same speed. The Peugot 405 was OK at 55 to 60. Tarka is fine at 65 and the AMG 35? At close to 80 it simply ignored the corners. Modern suspension, tyres, computer supported traction control and all wheel drive, plus 304bhp and 300 ft lbs of torque from 2350 rpm all work together to deliver effortless cornering. It is called progress. I've thrown my hair shirt into the recycling bin. In 1988 we bought a new VW Golf 1.6 catalyst with tinted glass, adjustable side mirrors (mechanically), metallic paint, 72 bhp.......! No power stering. We were proud, loved the car and travelled Europe. In Italy it was sometimes difficult to find unleaded fuel. Recently we replaced our Mini Clubman by a Mini Cooper Chili 5d, 136 bhp, power steering, everything "powered", superior to that Golf in every way. And just to have a maneuverable second (third) car. 🚘 🚗 Indeed, progress has been made, enormously. For the Tesla it is sometimes difficult to find a charger in Italy. Progress? We take our traditional Morgan with carburetor to travel through Italy, a lot slower than the Tesla and the Mini, but so much charm and fun!

Great taste in cars Peter G, I was most impressed by the Stelvio going up the hill at last years FOS quicker than all the other SUV's. Was that your MOG I saw at last years LMC - the colour really looks good.
