As per previous threads on this topic, I have also used both.
My local dealer provided poor service and had no attention to detail (the car returned with more faults than it was given to them with) and therefore, my car now goes to the factory to have the annual service. Is it close? No. Does the job get done right? Yes. For me, that has a value.
Like Boshly, if I had the luxury of an RPM or someone who provided a similar quality and service close to me, I'd happily use them. As I don't, the car goes to Malvern.
I am yet to use Millers but I do hear great things about them and would definitely given them a try in the future - again, they aren't close but it seems I am required to travel if I want good competent service.

When I have work done on my Discovery I have to travel 200klms to Port Mcquarie. Land -rover dealers are very thin on the ground in Australia, Morgan dealers are virtually none existent, only the main importer in Victoria and one in Sydney and one in Brisbane I think? Toyota dealers on every corner. Life was not meant to be easy!

Life was not meant to be easy! I think your problem Ruby is that you always 'go the wrong way' otherwise they would be a lot closer
Cheers

My cousin was a Toyota (and Merc inc. trucks, plus one of the American brand trucks) dealer in Coffs Harbour years ago. As you say, almost every street corner. His preference for the bi-annual outback tour was always a Land Cruiser...

Off topic BUT, I remember when Land Rover launched their latest model Range Rover (this was in the 80's) near where I lived in Canada. They did the press launch up a mountain, in the summer, on what was a Black Diamond ski run in the winter. They got a few of the press cars half way up and got them stuck ... worst part, they ended up having to send a Land Cruiser up to winch them free You can imagine the stories in the press Toyota 1 Land Rover 0

I'm sorry if I have upset anyone by praising the factory service dept for doing what I consider to be a a good job .As I have not had the car serviced elsewhere I can't comment on other dealers or agents prices or levels of competance. Cost breakdown as follows; To carry out full service, fit sun visors and attend to brake judder. oil filter £6.76 brake pads =£33.81 sun visors =£71.18 sun visor supports =£14.92 sun visor screws =£1.28 engine oil synth 5w-40 5.5@£9.52 =£52.36 service cons =£10.00 envir waste =£5.00 labour 6@ £65 =£390 goods total=£585.31 plus vat=£117.06 Total inc vat =£702 .37 Regards Gerry So 700 GBP is for the annual service (sorry if I missed something), right? You did the first in 2010 and if yes how much was the cost? I'm curious, yes, but I would love a comparison with French prices ... BTW how many miles / kms was you car for each services ?
