Especially as that inner roll hoop post is where the back of your skull bangs against when not wearing a helmet.

Respectfully disagree - I think the outer hoop vertical is more aligned with most folk's noggins! Possibly that is why Morgan changed the design (although I agree it could be better finished facing forward!).

krankeL, your design is far better than the new squared holders!
Morgan should use rounded clamps too!

Thanks! I believe MichaelH was the first to find these clamps, so kudos to him!

Per PaulV, I can attest that the inner hoop location for the new mounts isn't a safety concern and is likely an improvement. But agreed, they should have been rounded. V3..retrofit? The matching, etched Morgan logo's are a nice touch though.

My thanks to 06032 for his excellent install instructions for the new style rack. Why Morgan does not provide any installation instructions is beyond me.

Right? It isn't entirely obvious. BTW, I retract my criticism that the mounts should be rounded. That seems true if using the outside hoop but not the inside. As is, they complement the lines quite nicely.

Not noticed this before... looks like a taperered bolt mount into the headrest and a more enclosing design... anyone used this?
